This is the journal of an Officer Candidate(OC) at Officer Candidate School(OCS.)

I went to OCS over the summer of 2009, and wrote a short entry about each day that I was there: what I did, something interesting that happened, etc. I did this originally to keep my family informed of what I was doing, but mostly for myself in that I could go back at any time in the future and read what I did at OCS. This was something I had wished I had done at Basic Training and while deployed, and this was the main reason I did it.

However, it has turned out that many other people have found it useful as well, including those thinking about OCS and those already there. The site averages about 400 unique visitors a month, and I’m thrilled that what I’ve written can help others.

Starting in October, I added a page where readers can submit their own stories. So all entries in the ‘Journal Entries‘ tag are written by me, while all those in the ‘Submitted Stories‘ tage were, of course, submitted by others.
